Our Story
Elizabeth Ekyasiimire is the founder of the Inspired to Inspire Foundation which started in February 2021. She was inspired to help the last mile orphaned and vulnerable youth and children in their suffering to obtain basic needs through empowering guardians because she had also gone through a long struggle to access education.
She could walk 3km per day to go to Bushere Primary school and lacked school fees most times. It was by the help of Hon. James Ruugi Kaberuka a Member of Parliament Kinkiizi West Constituency Kanungu District that linked her to Dr. James Musinguzi Garuga, who sponsored her secondary and university education.
Being a last mile product also, her eyes could notice clearly the suffering a lot of children were going through failing to go to school and being ravaged by hunger and poverty in her community. She realized that the number of children that dropped out of school due to lack of school fees was very high.
She decided to do something about this problem as one of the few girls who made it through school in her community.
